A vital part of local governance is listening to the community's concerns. But often, residents don't have the time to go to City Council meetings to voice those concerns.
That's why we're bringing City Hall to you during our latest Telephone Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, December 15, from 6 pm to 7 pm. Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez will be live answering your questions and concerns about issues affecting Moreno Valley.
The meeting will be in a radio show-style format and available in both English and Spanish. Residents can call in and either ask a question or sit back and listen to what the Moreno Valley community has to say.

This year's Tree Lighting Ceremony was extraordinary. We lit our iconic 30-foot-tall Holiday Tree in front of City Hall, Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez gave an excellent speech about kindness during the holidays, and the Canyon Springs High School Madrigals performed a few seasonal favorites. Santa Claus himself even made a special appearance!

Get into the Holiday Spirit at the
Stuff-the-Truck Event

Moreno Valley firefighters will bring some holiday cheer to Moreno Valley children during their annual Stuff-The-Truck event on Saturday, December 11 and Sunday, December 12 at Walmart on 12721 Moreno Beach Drive.
Residents are invited to fill an entire ladder truck full of new and unwrapped toys any time between 9 am and 6 pm this Saturday and Sunday. The toys will then be distributed to children in need to make their holiday season magical.
The Stuff-The-Truck event is part of the ongoing Spark of Love Toy Drive, happening between now and Friday, December 17. The Community is encouraged to drop off new and unwrapped toys at any Moreno Valley Fire Station. Drop boxes are also located at Moreno Valley City Hall, the Conference and Recreation Center, and the Moreno Valley Senior Center.

Free Pet Vaccinations Still Available |

The Moreno Valley Animal Shelter still has many free vaccinations available for Moreno Valley pets!
The vaccines for dogs protect against canine distemper, adenovirus type-2, parainfluenza, and parvovirus. The cat vaccines protect against feline rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia.
The offer is first-come, first-serve, and residents are urged to call while supplies last. Proof of residency is required at your appointment, and up to four pets per household will qualify for a free vaccination. The Petco Love Foundation provides funding for vaccine promotion.
To schedule an appointment, contact the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter at 951.413.3790. Shelter hours are from Tuesday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or on Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Warm Centers Available Throughout
Moreno Valley

As temperatures cool, the City of Moreno Valley is teaming up with the Community Action Partnership to offer warm centers around the City for residents to get out of the cold.
Moreno Valley will have four warm centers available:
- Cottonwood Golf Center, Monday - Sunday 7 am to 7 pm, 13671 Frederick Street
- Moreno Valley Public Library, Monday - Thursday 9 am to 8 pm, Friday 9 am to 6 pm, Saturday 9 am to 5 pm, and Sunday 12 pm to 5 pm, 25480 Alessandro Boulevard
- Moreno Valley Public Library Iris Plaza Branch, Monday - Friday 10 am to 8 pm, Saturday 10 am to 6 pm, 16170 Perris Boulevard, Suite C3
- Moreno Valley Senior Center (seniors only), Monday - Sunday 8 am to 5 pm, 25075 Fir Avenue
Each site will become a Warm Center once temperatures reach below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Click here for more information and to find additional warm centers throughout Riverside County.
