I can’t believe that it is October. This year has just flown by. It’s practically Christmas. Just walk into ANY store and you will see Christmas stuff for sale…in October (-:
Last weeks Student Showcase/Anniversary party was a Great success. I am still sooooo tired from it all. That Sunday morning I was up early setting up the Bank of America Parking Lot, as were so many people that came out to help. We had to set up a stage, chairs, pop-up tents, snow cone and popcorn machines, games, drawings etc. I was thrilled at how many of you came out for the “party” Every performer did a FANTASTIC job. All the teachers that performed did a great joy. I cannot express my thanks enough to all the people that helped. This event really did take a village!! Now that we have pilled off an event like that, I feel confident that at some point we will do it again.
On to the next thing! What is next you may be asking?? Well, the Holidays are basically here. Because of the Pandemic, we are still deciding how to have a Holiday Student Showcase. We WILL have a “Winter Wonderland” Program. We just don’t know if it will be in person or virtual. We are watching the “world” and our city and county numbers closely to see what the safe thing to do is now and will be when we get to December.

The One Warm Coat donation box is in the front office of Fresno Music Academy & Arts once again! Please bring your extra jackets that you have sitting in that closet and bring them to us, so that they may be donated to someone in need!

A New Cat In Town 🐾

He's big, he's hairy, and he loves to cuddle! Make sure to give him some love.
Kazoo has been hanging out at Fresno Music Academy for a while now! Come by and see him, he would love to meet you! He will be staying with us for a whole year.

SONGWRITING COMPETITION
Start thinking up a melody, because our annual songwriting competition is about to begin! *Open to central valley.
This year's theme is Friendship, and the deadline is October 24th, so you have all the time you need to get a submission ready!
We encourage current students to participate, especially! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a name for yourself, and show off those talents! You may ask your current teacher for inspiration, if you wish. Click below!

If you’re a serious songwriter, you should have serious goals. Lay out ambitious and highly detailed short and long-term goals for your songwriting practice. This could be anything from writing a certain number of songs every month for a year to writing an album’s worth of material exclusively on a new instrument. These goals should be exciting and geared towards boosting your creative growth and productivity as an artist.
