Smart Meetings Platinum Choice Awards Honor
Sonoma County Tourism is delighted to share the news that we’ve been selected as a 2021 Smart Meetings Platinum Choice Awards winner. The Platinum Choice Awards honor the hospitality industry’s top-ranked hotels and destinations that display the highest standards of overall excellence in service and amenities.

As a one of this year’s winners, Sonoma County Tourism will be recognized in the December digital issue of Smart Meetings Magazine.
Hygiene Product Drive Results

For the month of November, Sonoma County Tourism Cares partnered with the Cloverdale Chamber of Commerce, Petaluma Visitors Program, Rohnert Park Chamber of Commerce, Sebastopol Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center, and Windsor Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center on a personal hygiene products donation drive benefiting Northern California's unhoused population.

Thanks to the generosity of the Sonoma County business community, over 6,300 items were donated! We are so thrilled with the results of this drive, and so grateful to everyone who helped spread the word or donated product. We look forward to getting the items to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Santa Rosa for distribution to those in need.
Introducing The Hospitality Collaborative
Beginning January 2022, Sonoma County Tourism will be launching a new program called The Hospitality Collaborative. This program will focus on a different city each event and include one lodging property, one restaurant, one winery/brewery/cidery/distillery, one attraction/retailer/other, and the local chamber. One of the businesses will act as the host site, with the other businesses and Sonoma County Tourism staff meeting at that site. After a brief tour of the host site, each participant will provide an overview of their business, engaging with SCT staff and exploring opportunities for collaboration both with SCT and the other businesses.

This program is a great way for SCT to learn more about its hospitality partners, identify any difficulties partners may be experiencing, and determine ways in which SCT can be of help.

If you’re interested in being part of a 2022 Hospitality Collaborative event, please email Devin McConnell at dmcconnell@sonomacounty.com for consideration.
