Glenridge Middle Community Member

The school year continues to fly by! This week our students will take the second progress monitoring assessment from the state (FAST testing) for ELA and math. It is important for students to bring a charged computer along with the charger each day this week. We are scheduled to take ELA on Monday and Math on Tuesday. Students that miss will have a chance to make up these assessments later in the week.

Please make sure you see all of the exciting events that our PTSA has planned for students and families, and if you are not a member of the PTSA, I highly encourage you to sign up and support this organization.

Report cards will be available on line in Skyward on Friday and they will also be sent home with students. We will be holding our Lion Leader Celebration for quarter 2 at the end of this month. All students that meet the criteria will receive an invitation. We have seen our teachers and students working hard and they deserve the recognition.

Special PTSA Feature
Thank you to all parents who gave generously over the holiday season!

In November, we had our first “Thanks for Giving” Gathering. Not only was it a great evening with Glenridge moms, we collected almost $2,000 in gift cards to give to our families in need.

And parents stepped up again in December, supporting our Teacher Gift Card Fund—allowing us to treat our teachers to a Gift Card Give-Away Bonanza before we went on the Holiday break.

THANK YOU—WE APPRECIATE YOU.

Monday's Motivational Moment!
EXERCISE FOR SUCCESS

As we begin this second week of 2023, think of the pursuit of your goals like a major athletic event. Train for it. As you prepare and "exercise," you will get stronger—mentally, emotionally, and physically. To successfully achieve your goals, you need to keep improving. The best way to do that is . . .

* Keep your body fit.
* Keep your heart flexible.
* Keep your mind open.
* Keep your comfort zone expanding.
