• The Cedar Park Public Library and Recreation Center will close early at 5 on Wednesday, November 23
• City offices, the Library and Rec Center be closed Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25 in observance of Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving holiday trash and recycling reminders

Just a reminder that trash and recycling slide one day for Thanksgiving and the day after. Here's how it works: 

• Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday: If these are your regular scheduled pickup days, you stay on schedule
• If Thursday's your regular day, pickup slides to Friday, November 25
• If Friday's your regular day, pickup slides to Saturday, November 26

It's not too late to register for the Thanksgiving Turkey Day 5K, Shake-a-Leg 1-miler and the Little Gobbler 1K. It's a lot of fun for the whole family! Blue Santa registration open, Police now accepting donations

Blue Santa partners with individuals, businesses and organizations in our community to provide families in need with toys to help make their children's holiday season a little brighter.

The last registration date is:

The Tree Lighting and Santa's Wonderland will feature the annual lighting of the majestic 400-year-old+ heritage oak tree, holiday music performances, photos with Santa, themed activities, face painting and crafts and food vendors coffee and sweet treats. New this year: an inflatable snow globe and holiday-themed characters!

New! Additional visits with Santa

Can't make it to the Tree Lighting or just need a little one-on-one time with Santa? We get it! This year, Santa's making himself available two extra evenings under the lighted tree for you to come have some Santa Talk and snap a few photos. It's B.Y.O.C. (bring your own camera!):

The November 17, 2022 Regular Scheduled City Council Meeting was held in a hybrid in-person/videoconferencing format. The public may take advantage of the opportunity to attend remotely.  

Highlights included:

• Update on programs and events hosted by Cedar Park Parks & Recreation
• Authorization of agreement to purchase two solo rescue- self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) decontamination washers for Fire Department
• Authorization of agreement for pool resurfacing

We ❤️ BSA Webelos II Scouts!

Cub Scouts Pack 97-Den-4-Webelos-II-interviewed Mayor Jim Penniman-Morin and led the Pledges of Allegiance to the United States and Texas flags at the City Council Meeting on Thursday, November 17. Attending a government meeting and visiting with elected officials is part of the badge requirement for Arrow of Light, in which Cub Scouts cross over to become BSA Scouts. Congratulations and good luck to Pack 97 Den 4 Webelos II in their Arrow of Light ceremony coming up in February!
