December 1, 2023 | Issue 3

December is officially upon us! If you're anything like me, this statement has sent you into a bit of a panic. Fear not! The chaos and busyness of the season can tend to make us feel overwhelmed, but it's also an excellent opportunity to slow down and remember to seek our Heavenly Father for His perfect rest.

Matthew 11:28-30 says:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

If you find yourself feeling weary and burdened this holiday, make sure to take some time to reflect on the real reason for the season, seek Him and find rest for your soul.

Truly my soul finds rest in God;

my salvation comes from him.

Truly he is my rock and my salvation;

he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.

Psalm 62:1-2

Game Night - Friendsgiving Edition

WHAT

Game Nights are designed to be an evening of fellowship, casual sport activities and board games/cards. All ages (0 to 100) welcome, but children (8th grade and younger) must attend with an adult unless they are in high school. Bring your favorite board/card game to teach others how to play. Our December Game Night will include a FriendsGiving theme. We will provide the turkey and beverages - please sign up to bring a dish to pass as part of the potluck!

Baptism Class

WHAT:

If you have made a commitment to Jesus Christ but have never been baptized, this is a great next step! Before each baptism service there is a mandatory class for those that wish to be baptized. The next Baptism Class will be held on December 3rd at 10:45 am in the Downstairs Conference Room.

Child Dedication Class

WHAT:

Child Dedication is a Biblical practice not a Biblical command. Dedicating children is a significant opportunity for parents to come before God, their friends, family and dedicate their children to the Lord. The class on December 10th is mandatory for all parents wishing to dedicate their child(ren). Sign up today!

Salvation Army Bell Ringing Stands

WHAT:

This Christmas season, join us at Crossroads in a church-wide initiative as we spread joy, share love, and connect with the community in a special way! We're taking over several Salvation Army Bell Ringing stands on Friday, December 15, from 5-7pm.

Help support the lifesaving work of our Sheboygan-based Salvation Army. Over the past year, more than 6,000 nights and 12,000 meals were provided to homeless individuals.
Help our church be visible and present in our community this holiday season.
Grow relationships within the Crossroads family.
