From the Curate

It’s hard to believe that a whole year has passed since I first celebrated Christmas with the Ascension community. How odd and wonderful it was to feel like an old pro!

Thank you to all who served at our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day masses, in our choir, on our altar, and in the kitchen. I often remark that a church is only as vibrant as its members, and you all offered a simply luminous Christmas celebration.

May the blessings of God incarnate, who joined heaven and earth, be upon you this Christmas season and remain with you always.

—Mtr. Murphy-Gill

Giving Tree for RefugeeOne

Thank you to all who took an ornament from our RefugeeOne Giving Tree. There are no more ornaments left! If you were unable to take an ornament and still want to give, you can purchase books for newly arriving Ukrainian children using this link or this one.

Please bring your gifts (UNWRAPPED) back to Ascension by January 8 (the Sunday after the Epiphany). We’re collecting them on the North wall of St. Michael Hall. Please look for the sign that says “Gifts for Refugee One Here.”

Please contact Mtr. Murphy-Gill with any questions.

Read more about the important work of RefugeeOne here.

Prayer Requests

Do you have a need for special prayer in your life? Whether your prayer needs are because you have an upcoming surgery, an ill family member, or you’re just feeling particularly lonely lately, Fr. Heard and Mtr. Murphy-Gill would like to know.

We’ve created a way for letting us know about your requests for prayers in a way we hope makes it easy for you to reach out, though you can always call the church or reach out to one of the priests personally.

Share your prayer requests here.
