What Exactly is Gingham?
Traditionally, gingham has meant a yarn-dyed cotton or cotton blend fabric usually woven in checks, plaids, or stripes. A woven gingham has had the yard dyed before the fabric is woven and will look the same on both sides of the fabric.
A gingham print is a gingham design printed on one side of the fabric.
