Dear Rondout Families, Faculty and Friends,
Last week was a "blue" week in the best sense of the word. We are excited to share the photos from the Blue Ribbon Schools Ceremony. Ms. Davis was joined by Mrs. Parkerson who is our most senior staff member with 33 years at Rondout to accept the award in Washington DC last week. We will be celebrating our Blue Ribbon Recognition during our Rondout Blue Ribbon Week which will be held the week of December 11th. More details will follow.
Report cards were mailed this afternoon so keep an eye on your mailbox for the large white envelope which also includes a print copy of your conference time. The conference times were emailed yesterday. Please be sure to stop in at the PTSA Book Fair which is scheduled to take place during parent conferences. You will also be able to sign up for volunteering at our second annual Cozy Day scheduled on the last day of school before winter break. Parent volunteers are needed throughout the day starting at 8:45 a.m. through 2:30 p.m. Hope you can join us for part of the day.
As we begin our Thanksgiving holiday, I would like to take a moment to thank our school community for its on-going support and engagement. Rondout is an extraordinary place filled with extraordinary people... with students, faculty, staff, administration, parents, neighbors, partners and friends...with a Board of Education which is always focused on decisions that are right for our district and the larger community. There is so much to be grateful for and there are no words to express how much it means to me to serve as your superintendent. Each day brings a sense of joy and fulfillment as we strive to provide our students with the best possible experience. Each day we also reflect on how we can improve, innovate and enhance the working and learning environment and continue to grow.
We send our warmest wishes to you all for a wonderful Thanksgiving. Safe journey to those who are traveling near or far. Enjoy your time whatever your plans. With gratitude... Until next time...
