Grade 6 Basketball Project

Dear Sixth Grade Families,

We are excited to announce the start of the Sixth Grade Basketball Project! If you are unfamiliar with this particular unit, the Columbus Dispatch wrote a nice article about it that you can read here. Two of the sixth-graders featured in the article are now varsity players on the other end of this project!

This year, the sixth grade students will partner with both our girls and boys varsity basketball teams to practice data analysis, percentages, article writing and more! Most of this project will occur during school hours; however, we will be asking your children to attend one home game of the team with which they are partnered.

The girls basketball game will be at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, and the boys basketball game will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2. Your children are welcome (and encouraged) to attend both games, but they are only required to attend the game for their team. We will be deciding on teams soon.
