INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AWARDED THE 100% PTA MEMBERSHIP AWARD
We did it. Just in time, our community pulled together and raised our membership enrollment to 100% (and more). We are thrilled to announce that the International School is the proud recipient of the 2021–2022 Washington State 100% PTA Membership Award!
This is an exceptional accomplishment. International School is the only secondary school to have received this prestigious award more than twice in the past four years. It means that our students are fully represented by the PTSA at the school, district, and state levels.
THANK YOU to our entire International School community of families, staff, and students! Here are our PTA awards this year: 100% PTA Membership, 100% Staff Membership, Platinum Growth Membership. Now it's time to celebrate!

TERRIFIC TITAN TEACHERS
Our Terrific Titan Teachers this week are BRYON COMBS, LEE HOLT, and GWEN GESLIN!
Bryon Combs teaches PE by day and loves golf and basketball in his free time. He was born in Kansas, and his favorite vacation spot is Ireland! Bryon would time travel if he could, maybe to read more books from Jack Reacher, his favorite book series. Next time you are in the gym, say hello to Bryon Combs, a terrific Titan teacher!

|
Lee Holt loves reading, running, and making jewelry. Her favorite place in the world is Orcas Island, Washington. While Lee has a Ph.D. in Neuropharmacology, she would secretly love to teach English Literature. In case you are wondering, neuropharmacology is the study of how drugs affect cellular function in the nervous system and how they influence behavior. Wow! I bet Lee’s favorite teacher, her kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Long, is very proud. Next time you are in the 200 hallway, say hello to Lee Holt, a terrific Titan teacher!
|
|
Gwen Geslin was born in Rennes, France, and is the oldest child of three siblings. Gwen loves gardening, kayaking, sewing, and trips to Whidbey Island, Washington. A true Frenchwoman, Gwen’s favorite food is the simple and perfect bread of France. If Gwen could teach any subject, she would teach architecture! Next time you are in the 100 hallway, say bonjour to Gwen Geslin, a terrific Titan teacher!
