SUGGESTED INFOR TO SHARE WITH YOUR SUPPLY PASTOR | |
One of the tasks that has been assigned to The Commission on Ordained Ministry (COOM) is the responsibility for maintaining the TABCOM Pulpit Supply list. Some churches have their own supply pastors that they call upon as needed, but TABCOM’s list requires that those whose names appear on its list, sign the ABC
Code of Ethics and undergo a CORI Background check.
The TABCOM list is available to any church by sending an email to minprep@tabcom.org. The list changes so frequently, that we have opted not to
post it on the website. If you have a copy of the supply list and it is dated before October 2022, it should probably be replaced with a newer copy.
The other document we have been sharing with our churches, is a document entitled, “Information to share with your supply pastor.” This list consists of items that would be most helpful for your supply pastor to be aware of before they come and preach at your church. You are welcome to click on the link below and download a copy for your church’s use. Some of the information may not be applicable to your church, and this may bring to mind items you may feel necessary to share with a supply pastor.
