KNOX NEWS April 17, 2025

This Sunday is Easter Sunday! More than almost anything else, it’s a day that signifies hope. Read Luke’s version of the Easter story here, and then join us on Easter at 9:00am for the Fresh Spirit worship service, or at 11:00am for Traditional Worship as will celebrate the greatest miracle of all.

Welcome Hour at 10:00am between services is your chance to catch up with Knox friends, and maybe make some new ones. Join us in the Social Hall.

Each gift to One Great Hour of Sharing, which we will collect at both Easter worship services, supports efforts to relieve hunger through the Presbyterian Hunger Program, promote development through the Presbyterian Committee on the Self-Development of People, and assist in areas of disaster through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. All three programs work in different ways to serve individuals and communities in need. From initial disaster response to ongoing community development, their work fits together to provide people with safety, sustenance, and hope.

The Good Friday Readers Theater Passion Play, Hope Rises, by Scottish playwright Suzanne Loftus, is taking shape. A cast of 12 plus nearly two dozen behind-the-scene workers have been rehearsing, creating costumes, settings and much more for the past few weeks. The play tells the story of immigrants through the eyes of Christ’s Passion, and includes characters like the wife of the apostle Matthew and the mother of apostles John and James. This readers’ theater version of the play will be part of the Good Friday worship at 7:00pm this week.

Knox + Third Men’s breakfast is this Saturday

Knox men meet with Third Church men for a United Men's Breakfast the third Saturday of each month—that’s this Saturday! This is a great time to minister and fellowship with one another as we prepare, serve and enjoy breakfast together while sharing God's message in a relevant way for today's world. PLEASE NOTE: Although we would love to share all of the event together, please know that you don't have to attend the entire session if your schedule won't permit. You can sign up for one slot, or as many as you'd like. Sign up here.
