Dear Friends,

As Jesus made his way toward Jerusalem just before his ascension, he encountered a less-than-welcoming atmosphere along the journey. Some agreed to follow him, but had other pressing things to take care of before they could make time for him. (See Luke 9:51-62)

Are we any different? As we make our way through the summer season, the excitement of vacations, and even the day-to-day activities, are we telling Jesus we'll catch up to him after we get finished with this other thing? Let's resolve together to always keep Jesus first so that we are "fit for the Kingdom of God" at all times.

We would love to hear from you!

Missions Update
"I was hungry and you fed me..." (Matthew 25:35)
In the FBC Welcome Center you will find a humble chest designated for food collection to benefit the homeless in Griffin who come to Five Loaves and Two Fish Food Pantry. Please consider bringing items to donate to this ministry.

We need canned meats, fruits, peanut butter crackers, and other foods that do not need to be cooked.

The homeless may pick up food 5 times per month at the food pantry.

Thank you for showing them God's love by contributing.
Clothes Closet Needs

If you happen to have any of the following items that you would like to donate, please bring them to the Ministry Center (Monday morning between 8 and 10 a.m.) or to the Welcome Center at the church: gym bags, backpacks, small suit cases that roll, and tennis shoes for men & women (all sizes). Thank you for supporting our Clothes Closet!

A Note of Thanks
We are so grateful to our Levite Ministry for building the steps to our new utility building. Bob Long and his crew did such a great job and we are so thankful!
