Letter from the Director
Dear Friends,
As we approach the end of another year, we are also putting the finishing touches on our building project. Although we do not yet have an opening date for you, the project is coming along. Floor and wall treatments are finished and lights are in. Railings are in place on the outdoor walkways. We are waiting for shelf toppers and end caps and crews are working on punch list items. Once those are
finished, we will be seeking final inspection and then taking care of the resulting punch list. In the meantime, we continue to offer curbside service through the side door on Whittlesey Avenue. Please ring the bell for service or call us from a cell phone when you arrive.

To coordinate with our modernized building, I’m excited to announce that we have been working on an updated webpage with a fresh new look that will be easier to navigate. Watch for it to preview coming up this month. Once it arrives, you will be able to find all of the resources you accessed on the old site. If you have any difficulty finding what you need, please give us a call and we will be happy to direct you.

As the weather gets colder, you may find yourself spending more time inside and in front of the television or laptop, which makes this an ideal time to remind you that the library provides free access to online video content. Our Kanopy and Hoopla apps give our New Milford patrons access to thousands of movies and series. Just download the apps on your laptop or television, create a login using your New Milford library card barcode, and start streaming! Both apps have curated collections that make it easier to find what you want, including Home Viewing for the Holidays in Kanopy and Holiday Romance and Best of Holiday in Hoopla. Again, if you have any questions on how to set up your account, call the
library for assistance. I wish you all happy viewing and for those of you who celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa, happy holidays!
