Jamie McCaig - Owner ATC Goaltending
Jamie enjoyed a successful junior hockey career with the Prince George Spruce Kings (BCHL), Penticton Panthers (BCHL) and the Merritt Centennials (BCHL). After concluding his junior career, Jamie went on to play for Brandon University Bobcats (CIS) and the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns (CIS). After completing his Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of Lethbridge, Jamie went on to play professionally for the Anchorage Aces (WCHL) and Victoria Salmon Kings (ECHL). Jamie has been instructing goaltenders for the past 20 years, while still playing he worked for the Goaltender Development Institute (GDI) for current NHL (Columbus) goalie coach Ian Clark. In the fall of 2006 after finishing his playing career, Jamie joined Dave Rathjen at ATC Goaltending where he is now a co-owner. Jamie is currently the goalie coach for the Whitecourt Wolverines (AJHL), Alberni Valley Bulldogs (BCHL) as well as the former goalie coach of the Kootenay Ice (WHL).
Dave grew up playing AAA hockey in Penticton, B.C. before going on to a successful junior career in the WHL and BCHL. After junior, he attended the University of Alberta and played for the Golden Bears Hockey Program winning the CIS National Championship in 2005 where he graduated with his Bachelor of Physical Education Degree with a minor in sports management. After a brief stint in the UHL Dave turned his focus to coaching goaltenders full time. Dave has been instructing goalies for the past 17 years and has gained a wealth of knowledge along his journey. Dave is currently the goalie coach for Swift Current (WHL), Univ of Alberta Golden Bears and Pandas (USport) as well as NAIT Womens Hockey Team (ACAC).

Elite Progression Information

This progression is designed for goaltenders that are playing at the highest level for their age. This progression will focus on skating, positional adjustments, rebound control, zone awareness, power play tactics, puck handling as well as an emphasis on reading the play. Goalies attending are expected to have a very firm grasp on all basic and advanced skating and save techniques.
Students in this progression are required to attend camp in top physical shape, there will be no refunds issued for injuries that happen at camp due to poor physical fitness. This progression is for SERIOUS goalies only!
