On behalf of the Columbiana County Advisory Council and RSVP staff I would like to thank the Salem Memorial Building, Hogan’s Baking Co. and the Columbiana County Partnerships for attending and participating in the first annual Senior Volunteer Fair on November 9th. As a result of their hard work and dedication, the Columbiana County RSVP family grew by 8 members who are eager to get started serving the community!

Volunteers will be delivering hot meals, serving at area food pantries, hospice opportunities, providing in-home companionship, clerical duties, food collection, mentorship, garnering donations for area non-profits, etc.

If you are interested in sharing your life experience in Columbiana County, please contact RSVP staff at 330-424-7877 option 1 or by email at mleake@fcsserves.org

Students are ready to be served in multiple school systems across our three counties through our partnering mentoring programs. For only 30 minutes you could help a student practice their reading and fluency skills and lead to a friendship that could last a lifetime. Even before officially committing, come tag along and observe what all our mentors do. Our mentors' impact on these students helps with the students' reading skills, yes, but also impacts them socially and emotionally, because at the heart it shows someone cares about them. Fostoria Elementary, Tiffin City Schools, Union Elementary in Upper Sandusky, and now in Willard City Schools too, are all looking for mentors just like you!
