IAWF ART GALLERY 

We at IAW Foundation would like to extend our gratitude to those who attended the event at  the Coastline Community College Art Gallery on June 23 and 24.  A special thank you to Mr. Ali Shahbazi for sharing his breathtaking paintings with us. 




IAWF LIFE ACADEMY

IAWF will be hosting its 3rd Annual Life Academy in Silicon Valley. The academy will focus on the tech industry, and will include tours of Facebook, Google, and other related companies.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet with movers and shakers of the field, well-known venture capitalists, and philanthropists. 



IAWF MEET & GREET HIKE

On Sunday, June 24, IAWF's LA Rising Leaders held a Meet & Greet hike in beautiful Paramount Ranch located in Agoura Hills. Members enjoyed the great outdoors and finished off their hike with a lunch gathering.

Parisa Sanandaji is currently the Director of US Patient Advocacy Relations at Intercept Pharmaceuticals in New York City. Prior to joining Intercept, Parisa Sanandaji spent thirteen years at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals and three years at Eli Lilly in roles spanning Sales and Marketing, Medical Affairs and Patient Advocacy.

Shadi Razifard
Northern California

Shadi Razifard, CPCC (Certified Professional Co-Active Coach) graduated college with a degree in Microbiology and Medical Genetics. For the last twenty years, she has held various sales and business development positions in named biotechnology companies. She is highly respected amongst her peers, past and present, with a track record of success.

Mandana's path has taken her on a magical carpet ride in her professional and personal life. She is the founder of Avanti Partners, a consulting organization that tackles business problems with a strategic perspective. She is also the founder of Resilient Women, an organization that offers coaching to individuals who want to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Homa Sarshar  is a published author, award-winning journalist, writer, and media personality. She is the author of four books and the editor of eleven other volumes, including five volumes of the Iranian Women's Studies Foundation Journal and four volumes of The History of Contemporary Iranian Jews. Homa has worked for Zan-e Ruz weekly magazine and Kayhan daily newspaper, and as a television producer, director, and talk-show host for National Iranian Radio & Television. She moved to Los Angeles in 1978. She was the co-producer of Omid Radio. Since 2006, Sarshar has been producing, writing, and hosting a weekly radio show at 670AM KIRN. Sarshar is the founder of the Center for Iranian Jewish Oral History (CIJOH) and the Honar Foundation (HF). Sarshar has received numerous awards for her work, including the Medal for Special Achievement in Women's Rights; Journalism Award: Distinguished Iranian Women by the Encyclopaedia Iranica; Commendation for Community Affairs Services by the County of Los Angeles; 2013 Ellis Island Medal of Honor; and 2016 American Heritage Award by American Immigration Council.
