Find Your Happy
Well here we are the first few days of the NEW YEAR.
The old has gone and the new one brings about new opportunities. Last week when I wrote my devotional I originally named it “Find Your Happy” and changed it because it seemed to be a frolic title for a not so frolic topic. Today, this is something completely different…fun to think a little outside the box, sometimes, so here goes.
Happiness seems to be an elusive subject with several variations of how to achieve it and where to find it. So, below, I present you with several quotes that try to define both of those quests. And after reading them, it really kind of puts happiness not in oblivion but right there in the heart and hands of each of us who are seeking it.
Happiness seems to be a matter of contentment and gratitude of what we already have without comparing our situation or circumstances to many who are around us. For within each of us, there is a huge capacity to be happy with who we are, what we have and what has been generously been given to us; whether it be family, friends, ambition, personality, talent, health, wisdom, compassion, generosity, love, etc.
So here are a few thoughts to ponder:

Happiness is a matter of personal outlook, attitude, and perspective. HAPPINESS IS A CHOICE. It is yours alone but I can tell you the truth ….If you count your blessings in prayer, and with gratitude, that just might be a first choice that is the foundation for many more happy blessings to come.
