Happy New Year and welcome to Winter Term! Join us Jan. 9-13 for FREE events across all four campuses to kick off the Winter Term! Check out the lineup of activities below at each campus.

Dates & Deadlines
January Deadlines
Jan. 9: Winter Term classes begin.
Jan. 16: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, College is closed.
Jan. 20, by 5 p.m.: Tuition due and end of refund period.

First Week Enrollment Services Hours
For the first week of Winter Term, hours are:
Mon. through Fri.: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tuition Payment/Refund
Tuition is due by 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20. To avoid lines, please pay online through your Bobcat Web account. The deadline to drop a full-term class and receive a refund is also 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20.

You may drop a class using your Bobcat Web account, in-person at the Enrollment Services Office on any COCC campus, by calling the Admissions and Records Office at 541-383-7500, or by emailing [email protected].
Season of Nonviolence
Lessons From Our Fathers: Continuing the Legacies of Nelson Mandela and Malcolm X
Drawing on the legacies of their iconic and beloved family members, Ndaba Mandela and Ilyasah Shabazz will share inspirational stories and empowering lessons. Today, both Mandela and Shabazz have dedicated their life’s work to continuing the call for social justice started by Nelson Mandela and Malcolm X.

Tower Theatre in Bend (This event sold out quickly but there are additional tickets held for COCC students that will be released Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 8 a.m. Go to towertheatre.org/tickets-and-events/season-of-non-violence to reserve your seat.

Student-Only Event: A Conversation with Ndaba Mandela and Ilyasah Shabazz

Students are invited to join an informal conversation and Q&A with social justice leaders Ndaba Mandela and Ilyasah Shabazz before their public presentation.

Community Book Conversations: "This Is My America" by Kim Johnson
Join us and other community organizations for the 2023 Season of Nonviolence book discussions. This year’s selection is Kim Johnson’s "This Is My America."

Every week, 17-year-old Tracy Beaumont writes letters to Innocence X, asking the organization to help her father, an innocent Black man on death row. Will Tracy and her family survive the uncovering of the skeletons of their Texas town's racist history that still haunt the present?

Art Exhibition: "From the Margins"
Art exhibition at COCC library features mixed-media book creations
An exhibition by artist Krayna Castelbaum, titled “From the Margins” and featuring unique mixed-media books and imaginative found-object sculptures, is showing at the Barber Library Rotunda Gallery Jan. 10-26, with a reception from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12.
Free Personal Counseling
Being a college student can be an amazing experience, but it can also be a little overwhelming. CAP Services is committed to supporting student mental health, well-being and academic success. Personal counseling is available to all registered students and it is FREE. Services are confidential and accessible via Zoom or phone.
