Ontario Moves to Next Phase

Dear golf industry stakeholders,
 
The Ontario Government announced today that the province will be moving to ease public health measures ahead of its expected timeline. Please click here for full details of changes to Public Health Measures.
 
Effective Thursday, February 17th at 12:01 a.m. Ontario will move into the next phase of public health measures being eased.
HIGHLIGHT OF CHANGES
Gatherings
Social indoor gathering limits increase to 50 people indoors and 100 people outdoors. 
Restaurants
All capacity limits are removed for indoor dining service in venues without dance facilities.

Capacity limited to 25 per cent for indoor dining service in venues that offer dance facilities.

Proof of vaccination is required.
Meeting & Event Spaces
All capacity limits are removed for indoor meeting and event space.

Proof of vaccination is required.
Pro Shop/Retail
Maintained at, or increased to, the number of people who can maintain two metres physical distance.
Recreational Amenities
All capacity limits removed for Indoor recreational amenities (golf simulators, fitness centers, gyms).

Proof of vaccination is required.
Weddings & Funerals
Capacity limits for Indoor services restricted to the number of people who can maintain 2 metres physical distance. Capacity limits are removed if the location opts-in to use proof of vaccination.
Ontario intends to take additional steps to ease public health measures if public health and health system indicators continue to improve. This includes lifting capacity limits in all remaining indoor public settings as of March 1, 2022.
