A Special Disaster Assistance Offering
Outdoor Worship This Sunday Afternoon
Emergency Needs of Those Affected by the Hurricane
In addition to holding in prayer those affected by Hurricane Harvey, this Sunday, September 3, we will also receive a special Disaster Relief Offering to support the work of Presbyterian Disaster Assistance as they respond to the emergency and ongoing needs of those affected. Gifts can be made by using the special envelopes in the pew racks or by writing "Disaster Relief" on the memo line of a check made payable to Fourth Presbyterian Church.

Gifts can also be made online at our website by clicking on "To Make a Gift" at the top left of the page and from there selecting the "Disaster Relief" fund.

You can also give by texting "fourthchurch" to 73256 (standard text messaging rates may apply).
Join Us for Jazz at Four around the Fountain!

Come be part of worship by the fountain, enjoy the music of the Lucy Smith Quartet, and share fellowship with other worshipers while surrounded by summer's beauty.

Time:
   Sunday, September 3
   4:00 p.m.

Place:
   Michigan Avenue Courtyard
fourNeeded: 10,000 Snacks by October 1!
Helping Feed Our Neighbors in Need
Every two months Fourth Church and Chicago Lights distribute 10,000 individually packaged snack items to neighbors who come to us in need of food.

These items are added to the bag lunches served on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays by Fourth Church Meals Ministry and to the emergency snack packs given to guests of the Chicago Lights Elam Davies Social Service Center.

To ensure we have sufficient snack items for our lunches and packs this September and October, we are working to collect 10,000 items by October 1.

These items--boxes of single servings of granola bars, chips, pretzels, and fruit cups--can be dropped off at the reception desk.

Together we can reach the goal--and continue to sustain our ministry of feeding those who are hungry!
