The National Day of Racial Healing originated in 2017 under the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation efforts, which serves as a community and nationally based process to determine and bring about transformational and sustainable change in addition to talking about the historical and contemporary effects of racism in U.S. society. This Tuesday, January 17, Megan Redshirt Shaw will be delivering the keynote address at Dominican University at 5:30pm. There is an option for in-person or virtual participation. Additionally, a Racial Healing Circle is scheduled for this Thursday, January 19. Both events are free; for information, go here. |
