The recent swath of storms have dumped literal tons of water across the Northcoast, to the delight of many. There is no arguing it, our entire state was in desperate need of some fresh H2O after the past few drought stricken years. Unfortunately there were some negative side effects that came along the recent down pours, including flooding in various parts of California. Given our familiarity with the rain, the majority of Humboldt was able to avoid any major water related issues, stay strong Elk River! I love seeing how full all of the rivers are, but part of me can't help but yearn for some warm summer days. I guess it's just human nature to always want what you don't have, but I do find comfort in knowing that this winter will help to nourish our beautiful county through the dry summer! |
