All Saints’ Sunday
On Sunday, November 7th, we will celebrate the Feast of All Saints. All Saints’, as many of you know, is the only moveable principal feast day of the church year; if it is not celebrated on the actual day, it can be moved to the following Sunday.

As is our custom, we will begin our worship with the Litany for all the Saints, and we will include in this litany the names of any of our loved ones who have recently died. We were unable to do this litany in 2020, so if you wish for the names of any of your loved ones who have died in the past 2 years to be read during this litany, please submit those names to Georgia at admin@trinitymarblefalls.org. We look forward to celebrating with you that Great Cloud of Witnesses into which so many of our loved ones have entered.
All Saints Day
"Commemorates all saints, known and unknown, on Nov. 1. All Saints' Day is one of the seven principal feasts of the church year, and one of the four days recommended for the administration of baptism. All Saints' Day may also be celebrated on the Sunday following Nov. 1.”  from An Episcopal Dictionary of the Church.
Pledge Drive Underway!
By now you should have received a pledge card for the 2022 calendar year. We hope that you will prayerfully consider your financial contribution to the mission and ministry of this church in the coming year. These pledges are very helpful to the budget committee as they prepare for the coming year. Please make an effort to get your cards back to the church by November 7th, when we will offer up our pledge cards on the altar as a sign of our commitment to be good stewards of all that God has entrusted to us.
Source of all Blessings
You bless us with angels--those spirit messengers who come in ever new and surprising forms.

To the ancients they were "the Powers," overawing presences. No image can do justice to their mystery, but when we are alert, we meet them everywhere.

May I sense them, heed them, and myself become a messanger, for we are all meant to be angels to one another. from 99 Blessings by Brother David Steindl-Rast
Freedom
“As i walked out the gate that would lead to my freedom, I knew if I didn’t leave my bitterness and hatred behind, I’d still be a prisoner.”
  by Nelson Mandela
Highland Lakes Christmas Is For Kids, Inc. is gearing up for their 31st annual toy drive. This is a tax-exempt organization receiving no government funds, and for 30 years with generous community support has provided gifts for thousands of children in Marble Falls and the surrounding areas who otherwise would have little or no Christmas. The yearly average is about 300 families and 600-700 children. This has been another year of unique challenges, making the number of families needing support likely higher. As in past years, the only administrative expense this organization has had are the post office box and cost to mail out an annual letter. All other funds are used to provide gifts in answering children's specific requests. This organization is a work of love for many volunteers. Please look for the poster In the Trinity Narthex Sunday, November 7th through 14th with envelopes to allow for your donations. Your Ministry and Outreach Commission will collect the envelopes and mail them. Or, consider sending your check directly to Highland Lakes Christmas is For Kids, Inc. P.O. Box 1750, Marble Falls, TX 78654. Please make your check payable to Highland Lakes Christmas is For Kids, Inc., with a notation at the bottom of your check that this is a Trinity donation. This is a tax-deductible donation - please see their tax exempt status by visiting www.irs.gov/charities and following the search instructions. Their number is 74- 2800158. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

We Need Shepherds!
These volunteers are key to our model of service and transformation of lives. In general, the shepherd is simply a friend, mentor, and support while a family/individual works through goals and tasks to rebuild their lives.

We could use shepherds who are interested in helping with specific cases, teams of people who could rally around an individual or family, or people who are interested in a single part of the shepherding process. Some specific primary roles are helping with budgeting and finances, skills, etc. Also, one key component is working to plug each client into a local church body that can help support and guide the family for the long-term. This could be a regular church attender that is open to inviting and welcoming a family to their specific church or someone who would like to take a client/family to try different churches.

We would love to add you to the team! In the next few months we will have a lot of big developments that will allow us to impact a large number of families in need. This will require a lot of shepherding support!

Saints
"Our baptismal vocation is to pay attention to how God is calling us as unique, unrepeatable individuals. We are saints here and now, practicing for our sainthood in heaven. Though we may be moving slowly and seem to make little progress, we are being transformed 'from one degree of glory to another.”  by Br. Keith Nelson, SSJE

United Thank Offering
The Episcopal Church has a wonderful tradition of the UTO blue boxes. Though started decades ago by the women of the Episcopal Church, now both men and women enjoy using the UTO method as a way to reinforce the spiritual discipline of thanksgiving. Keep it on your dresser or office desk or car, and when you have some change, drop it into the box as you say a prayer of thanksgiving to God for your blessings. Even during the pandemic of 2020 over a half million dollars were collected and distributed as grants to small churches and Episcopal programs in the U.S. and overseas.

Trinity will be in-gathering your UTO from November 14-28th. Please drop them in the basket in the narthex. Thank you!
