From Mayor Leonard Desiderio...
Without hesitation, I can say that this year’s Memorial Day Weekend was a great success. In fact, from all accounts, it appears to be a record breaker – thanks to the many people who were in town, the fantastic weather we experienced, the multitudes of beachgoers who enjoyed our shoreline, and the countless happy faces that could be seen throughout Sea Isle City. If the 2022 Memorial Day Weekend is any indication of what to expect this summer, we all have a lot to look forward to in the months ahead!

From The Members of City Council...
At the start of the May 24 City Council meeting, Mayor Desiderio stated that Sea Isle City is “ready for a great season” and that City employees are doing an outstanding job to ensure that our beaches are prepared for the summer. The Mayor also reminded beachgoers to swim only on beaches where lifeguards are on duty.
City Council reiterates the Mayor’s comments about beach safety, and reminds everyone to follow all directives from the Sea Isle City Beach Patrol – and to never go in the ocean without a lifeguard present.

Helping Vets Receive The Help They Need
Knowing how challenging it can be to understand the various services the United States Veterans Administration has to offer, the members of VFW Post 1963’s Auxiliary host a monthly Veteran Community Outreach Program that allows vets to speak in-person with a government representative from the VA. The Outreach Program takes place year-round on the third Tuesday of every month, from 2:00 to 4:30 PM, inside VFW Post 1963’s meeting room at 401 JFK Boulevard, veterans and family members of veterans can ask questions regarding eligibility requirements, enrollment, healthcare services, claims – or any questions related to the VA. Sea Isle City is a Recycling Community
The Summer Curbside Trash and Recycling Collection Schedule is now in effect, with two collections taking place each week on the following streets and days:
- 1st to 44th Street: Wednesdays and Saturdays
- 45th to 70th Street: Mondays and Thursdays
- 71st to 94th Street: Tuesdays and Fridays
Bulk Trash: Please remember that there are no Curbside Bulk Trash Collections during the summer season. Bulk Trash Collections will resume in the fall.
The Trash & Recycling Drop-Off Area (aka: The Depot) at 401 JFK Boulevard (next to the Bridge) is open daily year-round from 7:15 AM to 2:45 PM (except some holidays).
Please place all trash and recycling in rigid, reusable containers with detachable lids, not to exceed 50-lbs (or 30-gallon size). To avoid fines, DO NOT place plastic trash bags on the curb. All trash and recycling items must be in rigid containers. Seagulls will tear-apart exposed plastic bags and create litter.
Please throw-away the old “Mandatory Recycling Laws” magnets that you may have on your refrigerator, because that information is no longer entirely accurate. CLICK HERE to see the magnet you should throw-away.
