Connecting our church and community to become change agents for Jesus.

Good morning, COG family!

When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them."

John 13:12-17

Look for an opportunity to serve someone this week. If they ask why you are doing it, share the love of Jesus and tell about how He serves us every day.

Be salt and light,

Pastor Chris

Upcoming Events

Men's Ministry Breakfast

The men's ministry will be hosting a fellowship breakfast on February 4th at 8 am in the South Building. We will have eggs, sausage, pancakes, coffee, and juice. We will have a brief devotional time with Pastor Joel leading. Bring your sons and invite a friend to attend.

We will also have time to discuss what 2023 holds for the men's ministry. We want all the men at COG to come and join the discussion. We will also be sending out a survey to get your feedback and help guide our discussion at the breakfast. Please look for that email to come out in the next week. If you do not receive it, email Pastor Chris.

Please sign up at the Get Connected table so we can plan food and seating accordingly.

Love Baskets Silent Auction

Nicaragua Mission Team

Love baskets are a fun way to be part of the Nicaragua mission team. This annual fundraiser helps us minister with the gospel and with medical care to thousands of people on every trip. Each year we see God’s love move in a powerful way, and hundreds come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

We are asking you to put together a basket to help with this important fundraiser!

Just a few ideas: Luxury bath basket, tool bucket “basket”, dinner and a movie for two basket, chocolate lovers' basket, pet lovers' basket/bowl, mommy’s baby bag, music lovers' basket, gourmet gift basket, salsa lovers' basket, a camping/picnic basket, pasta lovers' basket, BBQ basket, crafts-that-you-make basket. Be creative, and remember that a "basket" doesn't have to be a basket - it can be a bowl, a box, a bucket... whatever you want to put together for the auction.

Your love basket will be a part of a silent auction that will conclude on Sunday, February 12th shortly after the end of service, with all proceeds going to the Nicaragua mission trip.

There's no need to sign up. Just bring baskets as soon as you can! Tables will be set up in the North Building.

If you cannot make it to COG on a Sunday, feel free to come in during the week to check out the baskets and put a bid in. If you want to financially support the mission team without buying a basket, you can write a check and put "Nicaragua Team Support" on the memo line.

If you have questions about the baskets, email Amy Eichenseer. If you have questions about the mission trip to Nicaragua in 2023, email Joyce Baker.

Thank you from the Nicaragua Mission Team

5th Sunday Family Worship

On January 29th, will have our 5th Sunday Family Worship service. What will make it different from a regular Sunday service you ask? Let me tell ya!

On the 5th Sunday of any month, children and youth will join their families for family worship in the North Building. This gives us an opportunity to have families be together learning the same scripture from God's Word. It also gives us an opportunity to bring the entire Community of Grace body together, including our children and youth volunteers.

During family worship, we will have familiar songs for the children and a teaching time for the kids with Pastor J. We look forward to enjoying worship time with our entire COG family.
