Seeing the 'Big Picture' and changing lives

by Sarah F. Wimberley

Big Picture Alliance (BPA) was awarded a $50,000 grant from Impact100 Philadelphia in 2022. Support from Impact100 has enabled BPA to expand their reach, deepen their impact, and produce numerous powerful projects that have uplifted youth and community voices. By uplifting underrepresented stories and amplifying marginalized voices, the organization cultivates a new generation of storytellers who contribute towards a more inclusive, equitable and just society.

Founders Fellows

Each month through April, we'll profile a first-year Founders Fellow. To learn more about the program, please visit the website or contact the Founders Fellowship Co-Chairs.

Tiffany Zerby is currently the Communications Manager at ArtWell, a Philly-based nonprofit supporting young people and their communities through multidisciplinary arts expression, education, and creative reflection to celebrate their strengths, thrive while facing complex challenges, and awaken their dreams. In her role, Tiffany is focused on building awareness and storytelling. She has 10 years of cross-industry experience in Communications, specifically content writing, design, and campaign management. Before joining ArtWell, she worked with an early-education nonprofit in Cambodia and a charter school in Philadelphia. Tiffany also holds a B.A. in Professional Writing and Editing from West Virginia University (Let’s Go Mountaineers!) and was a Global Social Impact Fellow at MovingWorlds Institute.

Tiffany believes in the power of shared stories to spur human connection, promote healing, and bridge barriers. In her free time, she enjoys reading, creative writing, singing, spending time outdoors, and traveling to as many new places as possible. She’s also a runner and is training her beagle lab mix puppy to jog alongside her on the trails surrounding Philadelphia. This year, Tiffany is serving on the Environment Focus Area Committee.

Join early with a membership installment plan

It’s not too early to commit to 2024!

The membership books are open now through November 15, 2023. An Impact100 installment plan is a great way to pledge future membership and spread out the payments. A long-time member said, “I’ve paid by installments since the option was made available. I’m glad to be on the list of members who renew early. I’m starting right away this year because $100/month* is a lot easier to budget than paying the full membership fee in November!”

*Your amount due per month depends on which month you elect to start the installment plan. For full details or to start an installment plan, visit our website.

Reading the Room: How funders and allies can understand the needs of nonprofits by listening

We are so grateful to our panelists Kelly Woodland and Mindy Aldridge, and moderator Kimberly Kirn, for their insights, challenges, and tangible ways audience members can take steps to be more equitable in the way they approach their giving and partner with Black-led nonprofits. Read the report, "Reflecting Forward: Philadelphia-Based Black Leaders’ Recommendations For Regional Funders," here.

A recording of the program is available for those who missed it or attendees who would like to see it again.
