Celebrating Black History Month
This month, in honor of Black History Month, SNA is exploring the influence that African and African American food culture has had on school meals. We’re looking to spotlight school nutrition programs that weave African and African American history, heritage, and culture into their cafeteria, whether through food served and/or programming/decor.

Are you Ready? Let's Go!
SNA kicked off its “New Year, New Era” first-quarter STEPS challenge on Monday, January 17, and it runs through Thursday, March 31, 2022. Step up to the challenge and reach a minimum step goal of 30,000 steps by March 31, 2022. Bonus steps are included, so be sure to take advantage of the meditation and gratitude modules in the app to receive them.

Try the New Meditations!
During any active challenge period, you will automatically receive 500 bonus steps for each meditation session you complete (limit of one bonus grant per session and day). Put on your headset, find a quiet location that suits you best and choose any of the different 7-minute meditation sessions available for your daily mindfulness practice. Be sure to update the app in the Google and Apple stores to access all seven meditation videos.

New STEPS Prizes!
This year, STEPS features a new and exciting prize structure with more chances to win great prizes. Staying active has proven beneficial for both physical and mental health, so take this time to be mindful, recharge and get those extra steps into your day. Winners will be drawn at the end of each month at random and given prizes to include special wellness themes and up to $150 gift card for the grand-prize winner selected at the end of each quarterly challenge.
