Parking Changes Coming to

Permitting and Development Center

There are several important parking changes coming to the Permitting and Development Center (PDC) to which we want to call your attention.

Starting Feb. 1, 2023, in line with other City facilities, all entry points to the PDC garage will be gated, and all motor vehicles will require payment to park for more than

30 minutes (with some exceptions, detailed below).

PDC visitors will be required to take a ticket before being admitted into the parking garage gate, and they have several payment options:

  • Pay at the Kiosk - There is a “pay-on-foot” kiosk located on the ground level, next to the parking garage elevators. The kiosk accepts cash denominations of $20 or less, all major credit cards, and bank cards. Visitors must enter their parking tickets into the machine to be processed. After payment is submitted, the kiosk will re-issue the ticket, which visitors should hold up to the machine at the garage exit upon departure.
  • Pay Upon Exit - Visitors also may scan their tickets at the point of exit and pay using a credit card or bank card.

The garage rates, which were established by the City, are in effect 24 hours a day, 7 days a week:

  • 0-30 minutes - Free
  • First hour - $5.00
  • 1 ½ hour - $8.00
  • 2 hours - $11.00
  • 2 ½ hours - $14.00
  • 3 hours - $17.00
  • 3 ½ hours - $21.00
  • 4 hours - $24.00
  • More than 4 hours - $35.00

Community members who are attending public events or meetings and members of the media are exempt from parking fees should seek parking validation from the meeting organizer or security desk on the first floor of the building.
