Due to the tremendous support of community members like you, we brought smiles to the faces of 175 seniors this holiday season. In addition to delivering over 90 gifts to independent seniors, and with the support of GECIO, all residents at Niagara Rehab & Nursing Home received gifts as well. These are the seniors in our community with little family support (or any) and for whom the holidays may be a difficult time. We want them to know they are being remembered.
The most loved gift this year? Stuffed animals! It was truly amazing to watch the eyes of so many seniors light up as they hugged and kissed their new companions. New flannel pajamas were a close second!
The Board of Directors and staff at Senior Wishes thanks all of you who purchased every single item from our Amazon Wish List, made a monetary donation, donated beautiful handmade items or dropped off a gift at one of our community collections sites..
Special thanks to the associates at GEICO, Great Erie Federal Credit Union and Larkin Center of Commerce, who held donation drives for us. Of course, we can't forget to thank all of our volunteers who helped us with all those deliveries! Some of our happy recipients are shown below.
