Dates to remember:

Some of you may know that Christopher, our Director of Programming, who handles registration, became widowed this past summer. Since this will be his family’s first Christmas holiday since then, he’d like to gently encourage all prospective participants to complete registration on time – the earlier, the better.
 
December 21, 2021 - deadline for registration for Solo Performers
February 4, 2022 - New LATER deadline for registration for Ensembles
February 12, 2022 - deadline for minor changes to your registrations
February 15, 2022 - deadline for Senior Scholarship applications
March 15, 2022 - deadline for submission of performance videos and
supplementary materials, including Composition entries

We have reduced the entry fees by $20 for Bands, Choirs and Orchestras for 2022 in recognition of the difficulties our schools have had with their music programs over the last pandemic years. These reduced fees are now live in our online registration portal.

IMPORTANT - Volunteers needed!

Do you have a couple of hours on Monday afternoons to help raise funds for the Festival?

We need to build a team of four volunteers to each take on one Monday a month from 4 - 6 pm to represent the Festival at the Capital Gaming and Entertainment Centre (located on Lola Ave., formerly Overbrook Bingo Palace).

Funds raised help pay for our world-class Adjudicators each year.

You must be of legal age to enter a gaming establishment and able to stand for the two-hour shift. Please email kim@okmf.ca if you are able to help us out and for more details. We look forward to hearing from you!
