PUBLIC SCHOOL FIRST GRADE ORIENTATION
The Orcas Island School District will present two VIRTUAL Grade 1 Parent Orientations, February 1 and March 8 - Please join Elementary Principal Lorena Stankevich and OASIS Principal Donald Johnston as they share options for families with students entering grade 1 for the 2022-23 school year. UKULELE KANIKAPILA WITH KATHY COLLISTER AT ORCAS SENIOR CENTER
Join the Kanikapila, Hawaiian for “play music,” led by Kathy Collister, every Thursday 1 pm - 3 pm at Orcas Senior Center. The first half hour will be a lesson and then everyone will have the opportunity to play. Kathy has been playing for about a decade and she would love to introduce you to the joys of making music of your own. All levels of ukulele expertise are welcome. Please be prepared to show your vaccination card at your first session. Mask and distancing are required at Orcas Senior Center and there is no fee to attend. The Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA) are here to assist with Medicare questions. ORCAS SENIOR CENTER
Home Maintenance and Repair Pilot Program Coordinator
Orcas Senior Center is recruiting a part-time, independent contractor to coordinate its one-year Home Maintenance & Repair (HM&R) pilot program. The coordinator will be responsible for receiving maintenance and repair requests, facilitating agreements with contractors, and assuring work is done well and in a timely manner. Customer & Event Support Specialist
The Orcas Center is seeking a Customer and Event Support Specialist to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Center as we re-open.
