We are Senders and Goers

Dear Ministry Partner,

CCI Ministry is basically based on 2 Tim 2:2, “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” We believe that entrusting to reliable people is the vital step so that the truth to be preached.

In Paul’s ministry, the Philippian Christians were Senders as they helped him through their financial giving. In turn, Paul was a Sender and Timothy was a Goer, who was sent by Paul to entrust the truth to reliable persons.

In our ministry, we are Goers, and you are Senders who are helping us through prayers and financial giving. We are reminded that whatever good happened through our efforts, that it would recognized as “the fruit that abounds to your account.” (Phil 4:17).

Senders and Goers have a special relationship. “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Romans 10:14). Goers and Senders work together for the same purpose.

We have prayed for someone that we can entrust the ministry of teaching for the Hmong Tribe. Mr. Nu was born in northwest Vietnam and lived in Ho Chi Minh for 10 years. He and his wife wished to return to their hometown, but they hesitated many times just because they did not know how to start. After more than 2 years of working as CCI teachers, they committed to serve with CCI and returned to their local communities in northwest Vietnam to start CCI classes and serve locally.

On November 10, 2022, we were honored to lay hands and pray for Mr. Nu and his wife with a new responsibility. Please pray for wisdom, divine leading, and safety as they started working with CCI in December 2022. All ministerial works in the North through this young couple will be updated in the next couple months.

Thank you so much for your diligent prayer and faithful giving!

November Update

There were 2 important events that took place in November: leading a Teacher Training Workshop and taking part in a graduation ceremony in Phnom Penh.

Training new teachers is one of the missions to enlarge the ministry of teaching so that many workers are able to be trained and discipled locally.

According to Joshua Project, there are 818,000 Vietnamese in Cambodia and 3% of them are Christians (including Roman Catholic). “Most Vietnamese in Cambodia live in poverty with inadequate food and housing and no access to clean water. Many are without land, living in floating villages on the lake or rivers. They earn their living as fishermen, sellers and laborers.” Reported by Joshua Project.

3 years ago, CCI started a very first class for Vietnamese in Phnom Penh and they graduated in November 23, 2022 with 17 graduates and 3 of them missed this event.

Testimonies

"I am a CCI student in central Vietnam. I am interested in Church Administration and Education Course. God blesses our church with resources – people and time. These people give of their time to volunteer and money from a little income. These limited resources require responsible administrative oversight by church leaders. Being a deacon, I must learn how to manage our church in such a way that fits our culture and context so that the church can be a body of Christ that shines to our villagers."

Student

"Praise God for giving me an opportunity to be equipped by CCI. I learned how to share a message to unbelievers, to make disciples, and how to teach next generations. It helps me so much in my ministry of teaching in school. The class is opened where our teachers allow us to have fun arguing and sharing our thinking. The church history course was so fantastic! It blew my mind up about the past; it was also a challenging. Thank you so much for all our teachers. May God bless you."
