Hello!

And just like that, it's June.

Spring has nearly come and gone... once the Passport to Nature program kicked off, I headed outside to stretch my legs - note my selfie from a swampy site visit to our newest property in May - and switched my brain over to our dedicated Ambassadors. I started thinking about ways to effectively adapt the program alongside the ongoing post-pandemic ripples.

Our public nature reserves have become increasingly busy over the past 2 years, so as a result, we moved you from attending events, to engaging visitors as they safely enjoyed our trails. Now, I'm bringing these two successful tactics together to create Grant's Greeters. Why go somewhere else when our people are coming to us?

Join me at Grant's Woods on Sunday, June 26 for a casual Ambassador Meet n' Greet! It's finally safe to see each other face to face, and I'd love to learn more about who you are & why you're here. We'll go over what the Ambassador program looks like today, and what it means to share your love for local land protection as a Grant's Greeter.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
DATA ENTRY
We're looking for some tech-savvy volunteers to help us keep our new extensive database up to date.

If you have experience working with cloud-based software, or are just good with computers and don't mind spending some time in front of the screen for us, we'd really appreciate your assistance! In-person training will be provided.
INTERACTIVE INSTAGRAMMER
Are you creative? Do you love spreading awareness from the comfort of your home? We're looking for one volunteer to help us share social content on evenings and weekends.

Commitment: 3-5x per week

Must be familiar with posting stories/reels, interactive features (quizzes, music, stickers, etc.), tagging, and adding links.
PHOTOGRAPHERS & VIDEOGRAPHERS
We have so much going on! Properties to monitor, nature reserves to unveil, events to attend... it's hard for us to find the time to escape the hustle & bustle and step away to shoot & share these special moments for others to see.

We're working on developing a creative calendar so you can sign up and tag along on select field trips. Stay tuned for more details!
PASSPORT TO NATURE
Have you seen our booklet!?
Our popular year-long program launched on Earth Day and one thing we're really excited about this year are the road trips!

Download The Wildlands and Carden Experiences and share your adventures with us on social media.

The more eyes we can get on The Conservancy, the better chance we have of protecting more land in the region!

Did you know Carden is a globally rare ecosystem? How cool is that?!
TRAINING RESOURCES
My predecessor Joelle put together some fantastic training materials to help you feel comfortable & confident as an Ambassador. Please watch the videos below to familiarize yourself with The Conservancy and the 2021 Ambassador Program.
