Greetings!

Happy Holidays! I hope that you are enjoying this week, having some fun and getting in some rest, review and self-reflection as we prepare to go into a new calendar year, which is one of several potent times throughout a 12 month cycle to do so.

There are also periods in our individual lives when you need to do even more than reflect and rest, but actually STOP and re-assess, re-structure and re-align your life with who you are now. I, personally, am in one of those periods.

I'd been planning on taking a pause in January after sending out this last PGG of the year, but last Friday the Universe had other plans and I just couldn't get one out - I think that was only the second time in the 13(!) years I have been sending these weekly missives no matter what was going on in my life or how I felt. (The only other time was when my mom passed away). So please accept my apologies for missing December 23rd, but it was clearly confirmation that I really do need a pause!

As you may recall, I recently celebrated my 15 year anniversary as a coach, have been doing group coaching and talks for over 12 years, and as noted above, in January will have been sending these weekly PGG emails for 13 years without a break. (And haven't taken a "vacation" that was more than a few days this whole stretch). I truly love what I do as a coach, speaker and writer, and take it extremely seriously, which means I put my whole heart and soul into every interaction I have with clients and talks and every word I write in these emails, always with the intention to help you get unstuck, be inspired, gain a different perspective, treat yourself and others a little kinder, and/or bring some hope and humor into your day....whatever insights and observations I think might enhance and uplift your life.

And I've always been good at self-care/maintenance and practice what I preach, but I've reached a level of imbalance where my output is nowhere near being matched by the input, i.e. my body, mind and spirit has given way more that it has received over a prolonged period of time. I take full ownership for this pattern and running my gas tank on fumes for a while now, but can no longer do it to myself. (Prior to my coaching/speaking/writing journey I founded and ran a non-profit for 10 years...). At this point, I feel deep down in my bones that it can only be corrected with a full-on stop and restart, which is why I'm taking a pause this month to re-group on a both a personal and professional level.

What does this mean for you my dear PGG reader? Well, you may or may not realize that these newsletters take a full day or more to do; I consider them a huge responsibility and always want to provide a message and essay (and all the social media links and promos etc.) that resonate with the collective vibe and themes I am seeing with my clients or in the world that week. They can take anywhere from 4 - 12 hours to produce, and depending on the content, sometimes even more, and I am not directly financially compensated for them in any way.

They have been a labor of love and a genuine offering of service that at this point I need to re-configure how I can sustain, along with my coaching, speaking, book and other projects (and all the tech, marketing and self-promo that goes along with them...!) without sacrificing my well-being and personal livelihood. (Yes hello, my self-love/worth and personal growth, it's about time! #weteachwhatweneedtolearn).

Hundreds of you have been reading these PGGs from the first one in January 2010 and look forward to them every week. I am so grateful that I've been a part of your routine and personal growth journey and hope to be back with a new and improved option that serves us both - perhaps via a bi-weekly or monthly version and/or ways to support me on Patreon or Substack? TBD! Feel free to send me your comments and suggestions or if you want to help in any way.

I plan to return on a regular basis at some point, but for now, I will be taking most of January off, and will send essays and/or announcements and updates as needed, or when the inspiration strikes, and perhaps experiment with some other formats until I find something that works for me and is beneficial for you. I THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR PATIENCE DURING THESE NEXT FEW MONTHS.

In the meantime, below you can read the 2022 PGG Year in Review of 25 new essays and essay notes (in addition to all the reruns not listed here) so you have plenty to read for a while ;) And the best place to stay connected with me is always my Instagram, where I am most active and will continue to post, as well as my YouTube channel which has full-length talks and many clips you might find helpful. And if we have worked together or you've seen me speak, let me know and connect on LinkedIN.

This PGG note is already crazy long, so no social media clips this week. But the PGG Vibe of the Week is Diana Ross & The Supremes as the Universe singing to me Stop! In the Name of Love.
