National Small Business Week has begun! We hope you are ready to share your first fundraising email and have already shared the information through social media. If you have not already done so, click here to access the NSBW fundraising toolkit. The toolkit includes campaign instructions, suggested social media posts and graphics to use throughout this week.
Email template in Constant Contact: We have also dropped a NSBW fundraising email template into your Constant Contact account. Send it to your volunteers, sponsors and past clients to ask them to support your chapter.
REMINDER: Be sure to link emails and social media posts to your online donation page. If you do not have an online donation page, you can link to our national donation page where donors have the option to give to your local chapter, https://scorefoundation.org/donate/. If you have questions, contact us at info@scorefoundation.org.

Will Meikle, Mentor
SCORE Western Connecticut Chapter
Many thanks to mentor Will Meikle from our Western Connecticut chapter, who recently represented SCORE during a presentation for NASA's Office of Small Business Programs Learning Series, “Financial Management for Small Business.”
With 165+ entrepreneurs in attendance, Will discussed the benefits of sound financial management practices, the importance of preparing and analyzing financial statements and how to obtain business financing. The event was specifically geared to offer advice to underserved entrepreneurs, including women-owned, HUBZone and disabled veteran-owned small businesses, and was co-hosted by SCORE and the FDIC.
