A Thanksgiving Prayer

(to be said around the Thanksgiving table)

Gracious and Almighty God, we gather around this table to give thanks for the food around this table, the people around this table, those missing from around this table, and all we have been given this year. We thank you for life and laughter, for health and happiness, for relationships and memories, for lessons learned and the tears we've cried. We thank you for healing and hope, for prayers answered, and forgiveness received and given. We thank you for all we have, for what we had yesterday, and what will be provided tomorrow. Let us never take for granted the seen and unseen gifts in our lives. And may we have hearts full of thanksgiving not only today, but every day of our lives. All this we pray in the name of your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen +

On behalf of the clergy, vestry, and staff of St. Michael's we wish you and your loved ones have a safe, meaningful, and memorable Thanksgiving celebration this year. We give thanks for our spiritual home, your presence, and the gifts you have received and share. As we kick off a new church calendar year this Sunday, November 27, we look forward to seeing you and supporting you on your faith journey. Happy Thanksgiving!
