Greetings!
"See you Sunday!" We are so happy to be able to welcome you to the Library on Sundays ... which also means we are now open seven days a week. So please stop by: Borrow a book, discover a new DVD, or just browse the stacks. There is always something new to discover at your Library.

Here's what's coming up for you this week:

Live on Zoom

In celebration of the Lunar New Year, the chamber ensemble Music From China will present a virtual concert titled "Masterpieces of Chinese Music," a musical event the whole family will enjoy.

The trio will perform traditional Chinese music on iconic Chinese instruments such as an erhu, pipa and zheng. They will also discuss the stories behind the music and the instruments.

This concert will be live on Zoom and registration is required. The Zoom link will be sent on the morning of the program.

By the way, if you want to learn how to make what we believe to be the Perfect Dumpling, watch this short video, cooked up by our staff.

There is so much to celebrate during Black History Month, and our reading list will help you discover some gems. On the adult nonfiction list is Unbound: My Story of Liberation and the Birth of the Me Too Movement, by Tarana Burke.

On the children's nonfiction list, you'll find A Ride to Remember: A Civil Rights Story, by Sharon Langley and Amy Nathan. Each of these provide moving portraits of people facing -- and facing up to -- challenges, and overcoming them.

Please take a moment to click here and download the list; we're quite certain you'll find a wealth of titles to enjoy.

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are a form of digital money that can be exchanged directly, person-to-person, without the need of a third party or bank intermediary. It is a technological breakthrough that allows everyone to be their own bank. It is not controlled by any group or government, so it can’t be manipulated, devalued, confiscated or shut-down.

Join us for a readily understandable presentation with Lindsley D. Medlin, Jr, a Certified Blockchain Professional™ In this presentation, you will learn about Bitcoin and why it is important. You’ll get an understanding of how Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies work, and how to get started with bitcoin yourself. It will clear up some of the misinformation about Bitcoin being reported in the media. You don’t need to be a technical person; the class is designed for beginners.

Zoom links will be sent out 24 hours prior to the event. Register here to secure your spot! Email reference@hoboken.bccls.org for more information.
