A Message from our VP

Happy New Year!

I hope you had a wonderful winter break with your family and friends. It’s hard to believe we are beginning another year, another semester. Over the holiday, I was reminded of one of my favorite songs, The River, by Garth Brooks. Garth’s lyrics reminded me that we have new opportunities in this new year. We can sail our vessel many ways knowing there will be rough waters, but we keep our sights set on our goals and try our best to achieve our goals and highest aspirations. I wish you adventure with your vessel to follow your dreams, I wish you knowledge from the challenges along the way, and needed stops on the shore when you need rest, or redirect, or refocus.

I greeted students on the first days of classes at welcome tables and saw smiles, the hope of a new semester, and appreciation for staff greeting everyone and wishing everyone well this term. Those interactions and sense of renewal energize me and push me to keep sailing my vessel on a sometimes turbulent river.

In this newsletter, you will find information and opportunities to be involved. Read on for more details! Let’s GATA in this new year!

Go Eagles!
