OUR MISSION:

St. Rita School inspires students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade eight to achieve academic excellence in a safe, nurturing and faith-filled Catholic environment.

We prepare students to be morally responsible, innovative thinkers who, in today’s technology-guided global community, live and share the Love of Christ.

From the Desk of Mrs. Tiezzi

Dear SRS Parents and Guardians,

Happy Easter! The celebration of Our Lord’s Resurrection continues in the Church for eight days, called the Octave of Easter. Each day of the Octave is ranked as a Solemnity in the Church’s liturgical calendar. The Octave of Easter ends on the Second Sunday of Easter, the Universal Feast of Divine Mercy. In the Jubilee Year 2000, at the Mass in which he canonized the humble religious Sister Faustina Kowalska, Blessed John Paul II declared that from then on throughout the Church the Second Sunday of Easter would also be called the Sunday of Divine Mercy. Each year this Feast day is celebrated to confront on-going evil and injustice in our world and to proclaim the saving power of God’s “merciful love”. St. Paul VI Parish will celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday with a Bilingual Holy Hour and reception at St. Rita Church this Sunday, April 16 at 3:00 P.M. All school families are invited to attend.

In a few short weeks Beauty and the Beast Jr. will make its debut here at St. Rita. A very large and talented cast of students, under the direction of Mrs. MaryLee Delaney, will share the fantastic adaption of this beautiful story of transformation and tolerance. I invite you all to purchase your tickets at the Box Office by clicking HERE for one of three shows, either Friday, May 5 at 5:00 P.M.  Saturday, May 6 at either 10:00 A.M. or 2:00 P.M. Bring your lawn chair and settle in to see the play come to life in this beloved take on the classical fairytale–St. Rita style!

School will be closed next week for Spring Break. Thank you for entrusting your child/ren to our care. Best wishes for a Blessed Easter season, Alleluia!

God Bless,

Mrs. Tiezzi
