In China, new restrictions on religious Internet content are set to go into effect on March 1. Observers are noting that the restrictions are already having a chilling effect on Chinese Christians’ online activity. But one Chinese street evangelist is taking his bold message online and encouraging Chinese Christians to stay calm and keep on posting.

Evangelist Chen Wensheng, who was detained more than six times in 2021 for his street preaching in Hengyang, Hunan, took to social media earlier this month with a post entitled, “How Should Christians Respond to the Measures for the Administration of Internet Information Services”.

Warmly in Christ,
Pastor Foley and Dr. Foley

One of our new Underground Technology (UT) students told us about her life in North Korea, and one of the things she told us was surprising.

She said that when she was young she lived next to a home that was labeled a "Jesus Freak" house.

At the time she didn't really understand what that meant, but now she suspects that the members of the family were indeed Underground Christians.

During our time spent with members of the Underground Church, we've learned something very important about the gifts of God.

What we perceive as gifts of God are not actually gifts at all.

For example, we often think of things like 'forgiveness of sins' and 'eternal life' as gifts of God.

The Bible tells us that these are in fact not gifts of God.

If they are not gifts, then what are they?

Pray for the continued faithfulness of our field partners: Our field work can be dangerous and yet our partners continue to engage in discipleship and Bible distribution despite opposition. Please pray for their safety, but even more importantly that they would be faithful witnesses for Jesus Christ.

Pray for North Korean defectors who are hurting: Pray for North Korean defectors who suffer from depression, PTSD, and miss their hometowns and loved ones. Pray for them to find comfort in Christ and his return, the true blessed hope.
