Corner Lot and JTA Break Ground on Transit-Oriented
Artea at the Southbank Multifamily Development

Corner Lot and the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) broke ground this month on Artea at Southbank, a new $93 million transit-oriented urban multifamily development located in Downtown Jacksonville’s urban core. Designed for an urban professional lifestyle with private workspaces, weekday happy hour service, and Ori Living Pocket Offices, Artea is located close to the JTA Skyway and provides convenient access to downtown employment centers, sporting events, dining, and entertainment venues.
“We’re excited to partner with JTA on a transit-oriented development that will bring people, a workforce, and an energetic, vibrant environment to Downtown Jacksonville,” said Andy Allen, Corner Lot CEO. “Jacksonville is in the midst of a transformation, and with Artea, the new pedestrian-friendly bridge, and the opening of 1937 Spirits and Eatery, San Marco is on fire!”
Artea will offer 340 luxury apartment homes with studio, one, and two-bedroom floor plans with balconies. External features will include a saltwater pool, clubhouse, 24-hour fitness center, indoor/outdoor rooftop lounge, three courtyards, and a multilevel covered parking garage. Internal amenities include a modern urban interior design scheme with wood-style flooring, quartz countertops, upgraded stainless steel appliances, front loading washer and dryers, modular closets, and walk-in glass showers. The four-story structure is scheduled to be complete in Summer 2025.

With the sixth floor taking shape this month, Corner Lot's new Home2 Suites Hotel is redefining the skyline in downtown Jacksonville's Brooklyn neighborhood. Located at 600 Park Street, the hotel will include 100 rooms, a restaurant with outdoor dining, public art, trees, benches, and the redevelopment of an existing parking lot. Home2 Suites is schedule to be complete and welcoming its first guest this fall.

Planet Smoothie Opens in Corner Lot's Parkway Place Phase III
Corner Lots Parkway Place Phase III commercial development welcomed it's first tenant this month when Planet Smoothie opened it's doors to the public. Located in Northwest St. Johns County, the new retail center will also soon be home to Tsaocaa Florida, KidStrong, and Oola Mala Noodles and Japanese restaurant.

Meet Our Team: Justin Holmes, Assistant Project Manager |
Originally from Orlando, Justin Holmes graduated from Seminole State College of Florida with an Associates of Art and received his Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of North Florida in 2022. A baseball player since age 9, Justin played at Seminole State and was selected for the Mid-Florida Conference team before transferring to finish his collegiate baseball career at the University of North Florida. In his current role as Assistant Project Manager for Corner Lot, Justin assists with all aspects of horizontal project development including research, permitting, vendor relations, and contractor management. During his free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends, being active, and watching sports. |
