Botanist & Barrel
Botanist & Barrel crafts real southern ciders, sours, and dry fruit wines. We are the Souths only natural cidery focused on spontaneous and wild cultures. We craft healthy adult lifestyle beverages for any occasion. We support our local farmers using local sustainably and organically sourced fruits, including blueberries, apples and more from our no spray estate farm. Only tree ripened apples are used in our ciders with a focus on traditional southern heritage cider apples.

All of our ciders and wines contain little to no residual sugar and are low calorie. As an experimental winery we have almost no rules with the exceptions being we never add additives like sulfites and we do not fine, filter or pasteurize any of our ciders or wines.

Our newest releases you’ll find at market this week are:
Chai of the Tiger

This new batch of our collaboration cider with Asheville Tea Company’s Chocolate Habanero Chai tea blend is perfectly spicy to warm your soul during this unpredictable winter.

Pink is a Feeling
Out just in time for Valentine’s Day. This special cider blend is aged on the skins of 4 different grapes, chambourcin, noble, carlos & magnolia to make a beautiful pink cider/wine hybrid.

By the Brook Tempeh
By The Brook Tempeh will be at Saturday’s farmers’ market and excited to start the new year off!

We specialize in non-soy, artisan blends of legumes, peas, lentils, and seeds to create a well-balanced and highly digestible plant protein with a fantastic texture and versatile flavor. If you are looking for a way to integrate more planted based foods and fermented foods into your diet this is the product for you. You will be surprised by its complexity that store bought tempeh just doesn't hold up to.

This week we'll be stocked up with our three signature blends. Plan on a few burger options and ground chorizo.

Celebrity Dairy
We offer a selection of goats milk items handcrafted with love in Siler City, NC! At our booth you'll find a rainbow of flavors displaying our spreadable cheeses, nestled in among our pure chevrè, aged bloomy rind cheeses, yogurts, gelato, fudge, & even soaps. As NC's pioneer farmstead goat dairy, we've been treating all our goats like celebrities since 1991 and strive to do the same for our customers! Help us limit contact and keep each other safe during market transactions by placing pre-orders through our website, https://celebritydairy.com/preorder/.

Chapel Hill Creamery
Whether you watch the super bowl or not, pick up some of our ground beef to make a great chili topped with our Dairyland Farmers' cheese. Or make cheeseburgers with savory Hickory Grove, or choose your favorite sausage for tacos or gumbo. Check our sign for additional cuts of pork or beef we may have.
Farmhouse Cheese  Our cheeses are distinctive in how they are made, how they age, and how they taste. Use them for a snack, a cheese board, or for cooking. We have ripe and Creamy Carolina Moon, pungent Danziger, Paneer, tangy Dairyland Farmers, savory Hickory Grove, well aged Thunder Mt. Swiss, Calvander, YoYo (our cream top yogurt style). We hope to bring Hot Farmers and Dill Farmers this week. Calvander is based on an Asiago and is aged 7 1/2 months. It has a rich flavor with piquant notes and a smooth texture for shaving. Add it to pizza, salads, or serve with a glass of wine.
Whey Fed Pork We have pork chops, ground pork, Butt and Picnic roasts, and many varieties of sausage. Our sausage is extra meaty as it is made with the hams from our pigs and not just the trimmings. We sourced the spices for mild or spicy sausages for breakfast or dinner.
Pastured Beef We have lean ground round, ground beef, and possibly a few cuts of beef. Jersey beef is known for flavor and tenderness. Our herd is pasture raised and customers enjoy the flavor.
Pre Order Click on our "order now" button to see the choices for cheese, pork, and beef that you can preorder by Thursday night for market or farm pickup. Farm pickup is from 1-2 on Saturdays only.

Thank goodness for a few days of warmer weather.... the plants inside the greenhouse are beginning to grow again... lettuce, arugula, beets, swiss chard and kale. The ewes and newborn lambs will be turned back on pasture this week with warmer weather ... under the watchful eye of Mario and the three large white guardian dogs, etc, Sally, George, and Lou. They are constantly watching for predators, such as coyotes.

Many of you have asked us to expand our organic fruit production... so we are scheduled to plant a half acre of organic BLUEBERRIES this winter. Once the strawberries have been harvested, we can go right into harvesting blueberries. The farm recently purchased a mulch bark spreader, to aid in the production of the acid-loving blueberry fruit crop.  This is a new endeavor for the farm and we are excited about it.

Stop by the booth this Saturday and speak with our Dear Italian Friends and Ace Helpers.. Francesco and Sofia. This will be Francesco's last market before he returns to the US later in the summer; Both of them will return to Italy to continue their agricultural work; You can visit with Sofia several more weeks however. They will be terribly missed.

The 7th Annual Dinner in the Meadow will be BACK this year, Sunday, September 11th, in the hay field across from the homeplace. The link to purchase your FARM FEAST tickets will be live soon, www.dinnerinthemeadow.org. Tickets will be $135 each; At least 12 top notch chefs will be preparing wonderful dishes sourcing local foods (meats and veggies); local beers, wine, cocktail, live and silent auctions; all to provide a $5K grant to a small farmer in the region; a youth ag scholarship; and a scholarship to a farmer to attend the 2022 CFSA conference in November!  Buy your tickets early.

We will continue with offering GIFT CERTIFICATES from Meadow Lane Farm throughout the year... $25, $50, $75, or $100.. but please pre-order if you need one for a special gift.

Thank you for your continued support of our Century Family Farm!
