Mass communication? Miscommunication!

If you’re going to turn to the vernacular to make yourself known, be sure you’re accurate and concise. Avoid error in and exploitation of everyday language. In short, do the opposite of what the public and the media did this year.

The irked and the amused from around the country and across the world sent that mock-serious message in their entries for Lake Superior State University’s annual tongue-in-cheek Banished Words List. LSSU announces the results of the yearly compendium on Dec. 31 to start the New Year on the right foot, er, tongue. Read more.

Golden Grad Reunion - May 6 & 7, 2022

As members of our Golden Grad Society, alumni are invited to march in Lake Superior State University’s Commencement ceremonies. The Golden Grad Society includes those who left campus at least fifty years ago, in 1971 or earlier. We define ‘graduation’ year as the last year a student was enrolled at the Soo Campus. The honored class and those attending the reunion for the first time will be presented a commemorative medallion as a remembrance of this significant personal anniversary.

To participate in the Commencement ceremony please register by Friday, February 10, 2022.
