I hope you are having a wonderful weekend, we certainly are! Saffron and I have been getting excited for next week's zoom party! We'll be joining from the same place for the first time since July. We've got a lot planned, and would love to see you there, please RSVP here!

In more good news, the LAI community has pledged to write to over 70% of our seniors. We decided to open up more spots in the US this week because we were so close to reaching every senior we serve. Last week I promised to begin taking on new nursing homes and senior centers if we were able to hit 90% completion. It is looking like we will be able to slowly start adding new US facilities to the spreadsheet! We've reopened the form on our website for community partners to register, and have started reaching out to several homes in US states we do not yet write to!

I want to make sure that every senior we serve gets a letter this cycle. Please help us chase away the winter blues and try writing a letter somewhere new!

Anne G. will be joining LAI as our Stamp Fund Liasion. She will be working to help us delegate stamps, ensuring they are getting to recipients, and checking in with recipients.

Anne joined LAI on January 23, 2021. Today on the blog, Anne is sharing her story with the LAI community to celebrate her one year anniversary with LAI! She shares how she found out about LAI. She also shares a very special family story that has shown her the power of letter writing through a pen pal relationship that has lasted for 50 years! It is a fantastic read!
