We applaud the latest cookbook from Belgium – congratulations to Yves Meersman on the publication of his second cookbook with IDDSI adaptions.
The cookbook, written in Dutch, and entitled “Feed your brain”, is full of cooking tips and recipes that can be adapted to every IDDSI levell.
Yves is a Cook and Parkinson patient who, together with a multidisciplinary team, has created a new cooking book for people with chewing and swallowing problems and their caregivers. Every recipe can be adapted to IDDSI level 4, 5 or 6, and comes complete with pictures. This book also teachers readers how to make your own flavour enhancers and how to store it! Order the Dutch cookbook here.

Australia: Greetings from the AUIRG – the Australian IDDSI Reference Group. We are a group of volunteers from around Australia, in a range of different settings, all involved in IDDSI implementation and review. We meet monthly to guide, foster, advocate, facilitate and support IDDSI – and we would love to hear more from you. Want to join? We welcome and value new members.
How are you going with IDDSI? We would love to know what IDDSI looks like where you are. If you work in a hospital, aged care facility or supported disability accommodation, as either a speech pathologist, dietitian, nurse, aged care worker, disability support worker, chef, catering or food service staff, or in management, then you are exactly the type of person we want to hear from.
If you have questions or ideas, please contact us - we would love to hear from you.
