JOIN US THIS SUNDAY FOR WORSHIP IN THE PARISH HALL
BAPTISM OF OUR LORD
WORSHIP WITH HOLY COMMUNION
SUNDAY, JANUARY 8 10:00 A.M.
Dear Faithful of St. Andrew’s,
Happy New Year! I hope that you had a blessed Holiday Season, and the New Year is off to a good start for you and your loved ones.
If you joined us to celebrate the birth of Jesus on Christmas Eve, you know that we had a puffback (oil burner malfunction) that morning that left a residue odor and a chill in the sanctuary that had us worshiping in winter coats. We are grateful for your presence considering these conditions, and we appreciate your understanding. Since then, we have replaced our oil burner and now have a warm sanctuary. Our focus now is on cleaning the sanctuary and refreshing the air. This work will be performed by professionals and will likely take some time (weeks, not months).
In the meantime, we are blessed with a facility that includes, among other things, a parish hall that many years ago was the only church on the grounds. I don’t know if we have any current members at St. Andrew’s that may have worshiped in the former church, but I often hear people talk about the chance to hold a service there. Well, that possibility is now reality! While our main sanctuary is getting a makeover, we are excited to move our Sunday worship across the parking lot to the parish hall. We look forward to starting the New Year with something old, and hope that you will join us in worship at the “old” St. Andrew’s.
