Acquire vital life-saving skills at the Rancho Santa Fe Fire Station this Saturday, November 18th, from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM. During this event, you'll have the opportunity to learn and practice essential life-saving skills at absolutely no cost. This special program has been developed by the International Association of Fire Chiefs and will be administered by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT). It's open to participants 14 years of age and up. Space is limited, so make sure to secure your spot by registering before the event. To celebrate the start of the holiday season, the City and the Solana Beach Parks and Recreation Commission invite you to join your friends and neighbors for the annual Holiday Tree Lighting event at Fletcher Cove Park on Sunday, December 3rd, starting at 4:30 PM. Once the tree's light switch is flipped, all eyes turn to watch for Santa's arrival by fire-truck escort! Children will have the chance to ask Santa for that most important gift and to remind him just how good they've been all year! There will be live music and cookies, cider, and treats. | |
La Colonia Park Holiday Tree Lighting | |
The City and La Colonia Community Foundation invite you to a special La Colonia Park Holiday Tree Lighting event on Saturday, December 9th, at 5:00 PM. Join your friends and neighbors at historic La Colonia Park to celebrate the holiday season. There will be plenty of sweets, treats, and Mexican hot cocoa to go along with all the fun, including traditional holiday aguinaldos treat bags for the children, and delicious pan dulce (Mexican sweet bread). Santa will make another appearance and children will have the chance to ask him for that most important gift and to remind him just how good they’ve been all year. | |

Back once again by popular demand, the City of Solana Beach and the Solana Beach Parks and Recreation Commission are excited to invite you to join us to watch Santa's Sleigh Ride Parade! Santa will be riding along with Fire, Sheriff and Marine Safety personnel. The Sleigh Ride will be starting and ending at the Solana Beach Fire Station, located at 500 Lomas Santa Fe Drive. In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, EDCO's residential collection service will not be performed on Thursday, November 23rd. Residents with a trash pickup scheduled for Thursday or after will have a one-day residential delay in service this week. | |
