Get Ready for Graduation 2022

Graduation is fast approaching, and it will be May 27 before you know it! Here's some basic information about how graduation will proceed.

Check-in/Still Photos of Seniors

  • 4 pm at Competition Gym
  • Students will be shuttled to Bearcat Stadium after photos

Bad Weather Option

  • Notification by 3 pm
  • Graduation takes place in the SHS Auditorium
  • Parents and Guests enter through Main Gym and Front entrances
  • Students enter through the back of the school
  • Live feed streamed to Cafeteria and Competition Gym

Lifetouch (the photo service for graduation) is offering a sign-up service to receive photos of your Bearcat graduate. If you sign up, you'll receive a text message when the photos are available, and you'll receive free shipping on orders of $35 or more.

Register Your Student for the 2022-2023 School Year

Online registration is now open for the 2022-2023 school year! Every student must register through our online system each year.


Classes that have 100% registration for the 2022-2023 school year by May 20 will earn an ice cream party!


Students will not be assigned to a class or given a schedule until the online registration process has been completed and required documents have been provided to the student's campus.

Three Trustees Sworn In For New Term

The newly elected Sherman ISD Board of Trustees took their oaths of office Monday night: Jennifer Shelby, Richard Sean Vanderveer and Anna Wylie. The Honorable Larry Phillips, Judge of the 59th Judicial District Court in Grayson County, administered the oath.


Outgoing board members Hillary Luckett Clark and Tim Millerick spoke on their experience serving ISD and wished the new board members luck in their future endeavors. Millerick was given a clock, and Clark was given a chair.

SHS Seniors Participate in Oakley Ad Campaign

Turns out networking is REALLY important.


Back in January at the American Football Coaches Association Convention, Sherman ISD Athletic Director Bob Jones had a chance encounter with Scott Wissmueller, a channel sales manager at the sports equipment company Oakley.


And last Thursday, Oakley representatives and a creative team headed to Sherman May 12 to handle a photoshoot featuring a new line of apparel.

Neblett Knights Buddy Up With Audra's All Stars

On Saturday, Neblett Knights served as buddies for Audra's All-Stars, a baseball team for individuals with special needs. The students supported their buddies through their attentiveness, encouragement, compassion and friendship. It was special evening for all in attendance.

Class of 2022 Wins Annual Powderpuff Football Game

Junior and senior girls played with plenty of toughness and grit tonight in the Powderpuff Football game. The seniors edged out the juniors, 8-0.

Crystal Tumbleson Wins Katy Country, Mad Rock Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Crystal Tumbleson for being named the 93.1 Katy Country and Mad Rock 102.5 Teacher of the Year! Tumbleson is a special education teacher at Sherman High School and works diligently to ensure the learning of her students. She was nominated in April as the stations' Teacher of the Month.

SHS Choir Holds Spring Concert

The Sherman High School Choir had a wonderful T night of performing one-hit wonders! All four choirs had their last performance of the year, and they did an outstanding job. Outstanding choir members, Solo and Ensemble state qualifiers and seniors were also recognized toward the end.


It also marked a bittersweet moment for Choir Director Leslie Lemaster, as it is also her last performance at SHS. She may be moving out of the area, but she will always be a Bearcat!

Building Bearcats Legacy Bricks Allow Community to Leave Their Mark on Sherman High School

Honor a graduating senior, ex-student, organization, or family member through the Building Bearcats Legacy Brick program. Bricks cost $100 each and will be placed at Sherman High School.

Register Now for SISD Summer Enrichment Courses

Keep your child engaged this summer by registering for fun and affordable enrichment courses taught by Sherman ISD teachers!


Classes are available for students who have completed grades K-6 in Sherman and the surrounding area communities. Students may select one class for each hour they choose to attend, for a total of three classes per session.


Each class costs $40 (non-refundable tuition which covers any materials or supplies).

SISD Summer Camps Coming Soon!

The 2022 SISD Summer Camps will be here before you know it!


These four-day camps for 2nd-6th grades will focus on the fundamentals of the sport and its terminology. The camps will be held Monday through Thursday June 6-30 and run from 8:30 to 11 a.m. without lunch or 8:30 to11:30 with lunch at the Sherman High School Gym. Cost is free.


After the first day, you may drop off your child at 8 a.m. for free breakfast. You may pre-register by returning the registration form to the SHS Athletic Office before camp begins or enroll on the first day of the camp. Arrive for registration by 8 a.m.

High school and middle school summer workouts will begin June 6. Workouts run Monday through Thursday. High school boys start at 7:30 a.m., and high school girls will start at 9:15 a.m. For middle school workouts, boys start at 8 a.m., and girls start at 8:15 a.m.
